Athletics are a great opportunity for fellowship. GOYA Junior Girls and Boys and Senior Boys and Girls leagues are planned so as to encourage all youth in the church community to participate, whether they are “basketball players” or not. Athletics can enhance camaraderie in developing the idea of healthy competition.
Our youth basketball program is available to young people from elementary school age to high school. Teams hold regular practices, play in games and tournaments with other local Orthodox churches, and are led by qualified, dedicated and caring volunteer coaches. The teams have a great time and enjoy Orthodox fellowship.
The Junior division for boys and girls is ages 11-15, the Senior division is ages 16-19.
To be eligible to play, parents must be members of St. Anthony Greek Orthodox Church. The completed registration form along with the $80 league fee must be submitted to the Church Office, or to John Paziouros, the St. Anthony G.O.B.L. representative.
